Stattmans' Hypermiler experiment! Please read SAFETY precautions!
Hypermilage results
Traveled 23.8 miles along I71 between Kings Mill and downtown in a Chevy Avalanche!
Driving normal it took 20 minutes and got 15.4 mpg
Driving with the hypermilage techniques it took 26 minutes and got 20.6 mpg
It breaks down costing in gas $6.18 driving normally and $4.62 using hypermilage techniques to drive 23.8 miles.
So, driving normally ends up costing $1.56 more to drive 23.8 miles. Or you save $1.56 in gas driving with Hypermilage techniques.
Hypermilers use many tactics to try to get extra fuel mileage. Some are more practical than others. Some sacrifice comfort. Some are considered unsafe by driving experts.

Twilley accidentley spilled the beans to us too soon that DeAnna was sending Graham home last night! What a shock to the rest of the viewing audience who all thought he was the one! Sounds like she might be having regrets about it already! Also he gave us his very surprising pick on who he believes will get the girl!! The Snowboarder?!!? I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Great deal on Riverbend Concert tickets this week only!
Thank you John Matarese for the heads up on this story!
It's the pet peeve of many concertgoers. Ticketmaster surcharges and other fees can turn a $50 concert ticket into a $75 ticket. And normally the only solution is staying home.
But Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center, facing slower ticket sales and very few sold out shows this year, is making the rare move of lifting all ticket surcharges this week.
You can save as much as $15 per ticket if you purchase your tickets in person at the Riverbend Box office this week.
The box office will be open 11am till 6pm through Friday. You must show up in person: no phone call purchases.
Some tickets are still available to John Mellencamp, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, and Dave Matthews, shows that in most years would have sold out the first day.
Sorry, this offer does not apply to tickets not yet on sale, such as Toby Keith in September. As always, don't waste your money. I'm John Matarese.

Ira Dean of Trick pony suing MCdonalds
Shania's letter to fans following the announcement of her impending divorce from Mutt Lange
"To my beloved fans:
As I am sure you have seen or heard; I am going through a rough time personally in my life. I wanted you all to know that I could not be getting through this without you. Your letters, emails and words of encouragement give me strength. Your overwhelming support reminds me to smile, no matter how deep the pain and to always be grateful for all the beautiful blessings in my life.
I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music. This is my therapy, my passion, and my love. I look forward to sharing it with all of you as I begin this new journey.
I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever.
Thank you my friends, from the bottom of my heart.
